I'd like to tweak the way the search works if possible. If i do an artist search, it brings up the list of songs that the artist is set as an album artist for. Now say for instance this same artist has a song on a Now album, it doesnt show because the album artist is down as Various. Currently i have to try and remember the name of the song and search for that but it isn't ideal.

What i really want is the artist search to list both album artist and contributing artist. Anyone got any suggestions?

Can't you just do a search for:

artist:"name" contributingartist:"name"

where you replace name with what you are looking for?

I could, but i'd much rather just have to type in the name on its own.

No idea in that case.

You could assign an album name to each artist that is collective within "various"
