Media Player Classic - how to force aspect ratio to 16:10

I want to move away from GOM Player, even if it has served me well for a long time. I don't like the direction it's moving in, as in I don't want an account to use it. I've also noticed that GOM Player uses significantly more CPU than Media Player Classic, so I assume it's less efficient.

Now I like to fill my 16:10 screen up most of the time and have GOM Player setup to do exactly this. This works perfectly for me.

I use Media Player Classic from the K-Lite codec pack, but I don't see an option to set your own custom aspect ratio. Google fails me and the closest option I can find is "Stretch to Window". While not perfect in windowed mode, it seems to work in full screen.

Any ideas? Or just "Stretch to Window"?

Firstly, at my own risk...k lite codec? Bro, this is 2025, not 2005. I haven't had a need for a codec pack in probably 10+ years.

Just install mpc-be and away you go

K-Lite has never given me any issues and it's peace of mind when I'm using the likes of HandBrake and VirtualDub.

I've heard of MPC-BE, but I can't remember why I dismissed it. From memory, it could have been the all-dark theme - and I don't like dark themes. What is the difference between MPC and MPC-BE?
