Some sites say that mpc can auto-resume a video from the last watched point but i can't find any option for it.
Any ideas?

I've just realised that the resume is for the home cinema version of mpc. Now working but doesn't give the option after restarting the file whether you would like to resume or restart, which would be handy.

not sure if it's what you want but when playing a file, you can add to favourites and save the position....

That's handy. I was after maybe some sort of plugin that would ask if i wanted to auto-resume from where i left off when i just closed down mpc without any fuss. Mediaportal does this nicely but sometimes i want to watch something on the pc without involving the comparatively long startup time of mediaportal.

Pah to M$, you only gotta look at the xbox1 media centre which can resume & even play vids from multiple RAR's/ISO over LAN, if it could do hd/5:1 it would be great even today, unlike the intentionally crippled 360.
