Evening all,
The other half and her mum share a pc. They both have their own Music folders with all of their own music in the corresponding folder.

What I want to be able to do is to define 2 separate libraries in Windows Media Player. One for the girlfriend, and one for her mum. So enabling easy switching back and for of each others music.

The only thing I can find in WMP is how to change the location of included folders in a library.

Anyone know of any way around this please? Thanks :)

Creating a new logon is extremely easy and would solve this - you don't even need to create a password to make it quick to logon. It also avoids them both mixing up documents as well.

You could always create a playlist for each for each of them.

As above, give them their own logins, you're looking for a solution to a problem that doesn't exist :)

The Problem: Loads of music that needs to be separated in WMP.
Not The Solution: Seperate logons.

I will not be setting up seperate logons for each user due to this being something else that the gf's mum has to learn - She's a bit scared of pc's in general and I don't want to be introducing anything new, not yet.

Would it be solvable with manipulating / creating a new library under Windows?
Using W7 by the way :)

Cheers all.

In a word, no.

Having her own user space will be less confusing than having documents show up from 'nowhere' that her daughter makes.

Each has their own browsing settings / history, files, it's win win

hmm cant you just create a library and called it mum music and her music too it and then go to wmp and say add library, point at mum music.

Or I am I thinking this is too easy....
