Basically im going to be buying a Acer Revo 3610 soon and i was just wondering whats the best media software to use on it that will support ION acceleration so i can get 1080p....I dont think that my current VLC does?
Thanks
I would've thought that any player that uses DirectShow (DXVA in Vista/Win7) to render video will use hardware acceleration if it's supported? VLC renders video in software so it won't make a difference.
I agree.
I used to use VLC (and tried a few codec packs when VLC failed to play some files well) to play HD clips on my ION LE netbook.
With MPC-HC, I've had no such problems. Smooth playback, even with 2 displays enabled.
