Currently I use VLC and occasionally MPC. Are they still the best?

I seem to have an issue whereby I adjusting my NVIDIA video brightness has no effect on MPC, but it works fine for VLC.

Any ideas?

vlc and mpc i still defiantly the best players out there, as to your other question i have no idea

I use VLC for Video, but prefer Winamp for music.

Used to use VLC for video and win amp for audo, but now I just use vlc for everything.

I use JetAudio for music or short video files and XBMC for movies

VLC and SMplayer are the best.

But I use XBMC now, so hardly use em.
