Media programs

Just wandering what sort of media software you guys use
Looking at maybe having all my music and dvds on an external hard drive so all can view

But is there any nice software for doing this sort of thing??

What program did you use to rip all your DVDs and how did you get them to be displayed like that? (MCE really need a built in DVD ripper)

That looks like Vista Media Center with the "my movies" addon.

But another suggestion would be Media Portal.

Just got hold of media portal.
Looks like its going to take some getting used to ( yes im slow)

So do you guys use this instead of WMP and the likes??

Media Portal is a fully-fledched HTPC software (HTPC = Home Theatre PC) application, where you can change the look via "Skins" and add functionality via "Plugins"....

It depends on the demands of the user (what you want)...

Basically i want something where i can view my music albums or dvd's and have a nice back ground easy to use sort of function

Good old Windows Media Player here, does the job perfect.
