Bit of an odd question, or maybe not ..

We have a company wifi, which is for 'guests' so it is free to use, even for personal devices, however I'm wondering what information is actually available to the administrators of the network.

Can they access any of the apps, photos or videos on the device? I don't have any 'home movies' on there, but I do have some personal items and records.

I'm a bit of a noob so it might be a really simple answer :o

They won't be able to gain access to your personal device (apps, photos, videos).

They will be able to see the websites you browse while the device is connected to company WiFi. The level of detail depends on the security of the websites.

Yep, we run a similar setup where I work, we've just launched it in fact.

For us, we don't monitor anything on devices, just what is being accessed, URLs etc and provide basic URL and app filtering. The devices in the guest wifi are also unable to talk to each other, which is a pretty good idea given the amount of malware traffic I see getting dropped on the filters!
