Media server advice

Hey guys, since upgrading to my mac my PC doesn't get used anymore. However it does still have almost a tb of stuff spread over 3 hdd that I would quite like to access over the network.

I'm thinking either a NAS, or a basic PC with a smaller powersupply so that I can keep it on long term. Any advice on which route to go down and possibly a PC spec would be appreciated

Why not just undervolt the cpu in PC you have and by maybe buy a basic low power draw graphics card?

That's a fair idea actually, think I'll go with that one. How small a power supply will I get away with for 4 hard drives and a basic graphics card?
