Media server problems with dynamic IP address, how do I fix IP?

I am running a DNLA Media server program, Servvio on my pc, to watch media on my networked tv's.
Quite often I try to view media from my TV and the Servvio symbol is greyed out and says cannot connect to server. I believe this is because the ip addresses have changed, if I reboot the computer it now works.
I think I need to have set ip addresses, how would I go about doing this?

I have a sky router connected to a Netgear Procurve 1410-16 switch, I'm not sure were I need to go to enter my fixed ip's, I can get this screen on my router but am not sure this is the correct place to do it?

Thanks :)

On the server if it's running windows, just go into network adapters click on the network adapter you are using and change the ip4 config to a fixed one.

Gettothe screen abovein your network settings, put the IP address as maybe 192.168.0.2, leave the subnet at 255.255.255.0, change default gateway to the address of your router in this case 192.168.0.1 and input the DNS server address/s for your internet connection which should be stored on your router somewhere.

Ok, I've found the Internet Protocol properties as per your screen shot.
After googling how to do this I've also done an ipconfig to get some settings

Before I go about filling in Internet protocol Properties, will this set my main pc with a fixed ip as I think I need to set my tv's to fixed ip's?

I think my pc is always 192.168.0.2 but my tv's keep changing.

This may sound daft but is my router 192.168.0.1 and does my switch have an ip?

Sorry about all the questions, I've never had to touch anything like this before :)

Ok further to this, I've managed to fix my ip address and also that of the tv's using the info above and youtube, however it does say on one video I watched to make sure the ip addresses I have assigned unavailable to avoid conflicts.

I have set my tv to be 192.168.0.7 how do I make this unavailable?

There, under DHCP options change the size of the scope.

I used 192.168.255.50-192.168.255.100 as my DHCP scope and use the first 49 addresses to manual address space.

Edit - you can add a reservation but you need to know mac addresses. Easier just to change the DHCP scope to a smaller range of addresses.
