Hi Guys, Not sure this is the correct section to ask, but I'll give it a go anyhew!! :)

I've got my lovely Sony TV which is connected to my LAN (hard wired to the router) and my Laptop which is housing about 120Gb of movies...

I know I can stream the movies using Windows 7 Media Player... and I've tried TVersity...

The problem I've found with TVersity is it also installed that 'Akamai Netsession' thing witch mashed my processor and Broadband whilst the system was idle... which from looking around t'interweb, it does!.. a lot!!.. my processor was sitting at about 70% and running at 65degrees, plus my Broadband was up and down like a tarts knickers!!..

looking in tack manager it appears to be a 'svchost' event, which I've tracked to this 'Akamai' thing!..

So i uninstalled it, and then TVersity wouldn't work!!

So my question is this... is there any other software out there that does the same job as TVersity (re-coding 'On the Fly' and streaming), for the same price as TVersity (ie: FREE)??!!?? and one that doesn't rely on this Akamai thing!...

or is there a way to get TVersity working without it!!??... :)

Cheers Doods.
Sim.
