Media sharing on 360 - ?

It works fine with windows firewall. However, when I use my preferred firewall, even after adding the exceptions, it does not work. However, upon performing "Test connection" it passes all the tests and connects to the computer.

The 360 is a trusted device in the firewall too.

Any ideas?

how are you connecting it? I used homeplug and had to hack the registery.

you know homeplug wireless networking via the electric socket. basically connect each each end via RJ45 to the power socket with special adapter.

Hi mate,

I have this same problem since i have used my 360

My gear is as follows,see if we can find any similarities to solve the problem.

Router - Netgear DG834PN with all ports open and DMZ to 360.

AVG -Free Edition

Zone Alarm Firewall

All my connections are made through bridging the connections from my PC to the Xbox. I have it working on both XP and Vista.

have you guys tried a x over cable does it work with that? It will help to eliminate if the problem lays with your router.

also remove the firewall as a temp measure.
