Media streaming alternatives to replace Sky TV box?

I'm thinking of dumping my Sky HD box for something cheaper (or free) that does media streaming being as i hardly watch Sky anymore and don't need any sports channels. Just wanted to ask what others use for this? I don't really have anything specific in mind, it could be anything from a dedicated box like the Roku, a console like the Xbox 360, or PC + software. As long as i can connect it to a TV and use a remote/controller with it i'm not bothered.

So what is there? What do you use?

I use all three, Sky, Xbox and my PC.

Xbox has become quite a good little streaming console as it has everything you need, Netflix, LoveFilm, Sky, BBC channels, 4 on Demand and a few more!

And the PC obviously has all this and abit more. but with xbox you do get a controller and games console, i prefer my xbox for watching things mostly becasue it hooked up to my TV were as my PC has a monitor
