Media Streaming Device

Can anyone recommend a streaming device? I want to be able to stream films (all different types of file type) from my hard drive as well as being able to stream Netflix. Im looking at the WD TV streamer but cant make my mind as ive never used one before. Anyone have any they recommend?

If your tech savvy, I recommend a Raspberry Pi.

Xbox 360, it as netflix on it. and you can stream from your pc to it.
you can use a remote to control it or get the media remote, full wifi set up will take 2 hdd's 500gb(system) and a 1tb(external).
full range of app + net, and GAMES
