Media Wall/Sideboard?

Hi folks,

I was tempted to knock up a custom unit for the garden room but have just discovered this IKEA unit:

HAUGA storage combination, white, 210x46x199 cm - IKEA

Use throughout the home, as a standalone or with other furniture. This combination gives you lots of storage, both hidden and open.

Which at 350 quid is going to be hard to beat. Has anyone else put any thoughts into a decent size sideboard type unit? Trying to replace the horrible kallax 5x5 - especially after realising I don't have 5x5 worth of things to store lol. A few Lego bits are emerging as things to display too.

I've got this.. Which is OK but the veneer isn't the best.. Managed to put a few scratches on the top without much effort.

Thinking either starting off an EKET install - you can add bits as you want; or a classic Billy setup.

Neither are amazing tbh. And both would need some kind of work top adding....hmmm...
