Medialess Win8.1?

They sell it through distribution for system builders as far as I know its not available for end users. Oh and the price is the same as the LCP (Low cost packaging) Version that comes with the disk. :/

Grrr its maddening as i dont use optical media anymore as do many others i assume. I would just gladly pay for the license but i cant unless i go to MS which charge more than everyone else!

Thats exactly what im trying to do, just want to dl the iso but buy the license.

E: Apologies if the original post wasnt clear by the way, yeah i just want to buy a key but finding one seems beyond me today.

Unless I'm missing something, typing in "Windows 8.1 Digital licence" into Google took me to a rainforest and from there I've found a seller which emails you a link to your licence. Haven't looked on the MS site for the price, but they're selling for £41, seems reasonable.

Wow thanks Pulse, totally overlooked this!

Is this actual 8.1 or is it the pro pack upgrade ive seen a few times? Just making sure before i pull the trigger.

When you go into it under more info it states that it's "Retail, not OEM or Upgrade"

This Sale is For Windows 8.1 Pro FULL Licence Key Only. 100% Retail Licence - NOT an OEM or Upgrade

Errrm.... I would recommend against buying these ones that email your key. They are generally MULP or Enterprise keys and once they have reached their activation limit they will be blacklisted and you will be out of your money. There is a reason why they are cheaper than what Microsoft charge...

£41 for a licence that costs me as a Microsoft Partner over double that stinks of a fake... The "This Sale is For Windows 8.1 Pro FULL Licence Key Only. 100% Retail Licence - NOT an OEM or Upgrade" also screams fake as the retail Windows 8.1 Pro is 3 times as much... Dont say i didnt warn you.

Yup

Either pirate it or pay full price. Don't pay £41 for what is essentially a pirate key which will expire..

It's annoying that MS don't restructure their prices..

~£30 for Home version, online key, people would snap that up in no time!

I have been saying this for years... For £25-30 people wouldn't bat an eyelid... £75 on top of what you already pay for even a cheap pc is extortionate and doesn't surprise me that there is a huge amount of piracy of windows.

It was £25 at launch, not sure why more people on this forum did get some keys.
But agreed, and I'll be surprised if w10 isn't cheaper.
