Mediaportal and Windows 8

Has anyone tried it? No final version yet from what I can see.

I've used both 1.2.3 and the 1.3 RC versions. No real problems with either version, but I do like the new skin and some of the GUI changes with the RC version.

Just installed 1.3RC. Compared to WMC, it looks more modern but doesn't feel as responsive.

I upgraded a couple of weeks back, its sorted a few issues out but brought on far more of its own, i'm not sure if the positives out weigh the negatives yet but will see what the final release brings!

It is too slow for my likes. Used to see a response when I press the button an not a couple of seconds later.

I've always found MediaPortal to be at least as responsive as WMC. Don't forget though that you're currently running a beta product, so there are still bugs that likely need ironing out.
