It arrived today but a bit late for me unfortunately as i only got to play on it for about 50 minutes cause im off to work. But from playing halfway through the tutorial and taking part in battles this game is the best game EVER :)
Ive got the settings ramped to max at 1280x1024 and i got the unit scale up to max and ive got thousands of enemies in one battle and still no sluggish behaviour this game is well made, and i cant wait to come home and play it :)

So far ive taken over wales, ireland and nearly scotland then all is left is france. Ive stupidly sent my king and 500 troops off to the other side of the world on a crusade and the troops are disbaning out of boredom :p

After starting this game all over again for the third time due to computer problems im now playing on my new rig (see sig  )
The graphics is amazing and the sound even better its just wow gobsmacked.

Im playing as england on my first turn i decided to attack york. With just a novice general and 1 regiment of spearmen and 2 archer regiments i move them to york. The settings for the battle arent good its dark, its raining heavly and theres thunder and lightning :) my x-fi fatality edition picks it up lovely and the atmosphere from this first battle im getting is amazing.
I send my men marching down to the south of the village except my general takes the easy side ready for a sneaky attack. My spearman are met with volleys of arrows but with my numbers i just soak it up enough for my archers to get in range, i immediatly change it to fire arrows and watch with a cheesy smirk as i see chargrilled rebels. After there numbers dwindle down to about 20 they ran to the centre of there village protected by a regiment of militia and spearmen. The only thing i could do was send my archers in range to take out the nearest target which luckily was the rebel leader and after 4-5 volleys he goes down. Im just seconds from victory so i charged my spearmen into the opposing spearmen and the remaining militia, but funny enough they seem determined and were giving my spearmen trouble. Next step i charged my general into the backs of the foolish enemy and i sent out a wide spread panick and this led me to cutting down the fleeing rebels and with that my first victory :)

This game rocks the cockerals head, this all happened in turn 1, also which i took on another rebel village with a similar victory but still the charm was still there. If you aint bought this yet then get it i recommend it to all gamers :)

well ive just finished my first campaign :)
i played a short campaign as the long one was too hard :p
anyway i won as the scottish and now ive unlocked all the factions. Im gonna play it through again but on a long campaign, what faction would you recommed for easy win :)

Ive decided to play as Egypt on long campaign and im four turns in and have taken over juraleasum. Its a great faction with its desert cavalry that run around in circles firing arrows i managed to kill like 400 troops with 2 regiments :)

ive reinstalled the game and patched it to 1.1 now. Ive decided to do every faction in order on the grand campaign but only the short version as else itll take forever :D
Anyway im playing as england and im a bit rusty my second battle i was winning throughout then i had a choice ending battle or cut down the remaining enemy. So i decided to finish them off and jesus they put up a bigger fight than the actual battle they must have killed like 400 out 470 of my spearmen in the city square and that was with me still raining down arrows.
This is what i love about the game when you think youve got an easy win the enemy might just suprise you :)
