Hi, new to the forum, getting back into gaming after several decades (last time I owned a pc the voodoo 3 of the early 2000s was all the rage). Anyway, I bought a Medion Erazer Deputy p25, obviously it's a budget gaming laptop but seemed decent specs with a 3060rtx / ryzen 5800h / 16gb ram etc and it runs really well. Basically I wanted a laptop to handle the latest total war titles, having fond memories of the original Shogun back in the day and this seems to.

However, first one lasted a few days and what I assume was a faulty GPU kicked in, every time I loaded up a game and resources got demanding it would crash back to boot screen - sent back to overclockers who replaced it very efficiently, this current one however now runs perfectly except the power button doesn't do anything, won't turn it on or off. Luckily it seems it is set up to turn on when plugged into the mains and the lid is lifted, so it still works in a fixed location. I'm sending it back Monday, and I'm really on the fence about getting a refund or replacement - I can't believe Medion are still in business if all their laptops are so badly put together and that OC would sell them if that were the case, but what are the odds of 2 laptops failing within a week of ownership? It was a great price during the black friday week, and was sort of the max I really wanted to spend, and when it runs it does run great but am I just wasting my time hoping the third laptop will be the charm or have I just been unlucky?

Really just hoping to find some people who have experience with the brand, good or bad, or a bit of guidance as to why I might have had such bad luck. Thanks.

There might be a toggle in th software to change it to power button, my legion 5 has it in the Lenovo software.
Off is power button and on powers it up when lid lifted, have a good look in the software, maybe in bios?.
