Medium format camera from Sony?

Happen to see this rumour also.

Personally I think it makes perfect sense for Sony to get into the MF market. Digital photography is heading that way anyway, so why not get ahead of the game and make Canon/Nikon play catchup instead?
It's not like they are likely to beat Canon/Nikon on their own turf.

Well Canon are not ruling out the possibility of entering the MF market.

I also don't rule out the possibility of cheaper and wider aperture MF lenses once MF becomes attainable and mass produced. The current MF bodies suck to use, Leica's S20 has given a glimps of what things might look like once Canon/Nikon/Sony enter the market.

Personally I'm looking forward to some wide angle bokeh without resorting to the Brenizer method.
