Hi there! I am thinking of upgrading my current CPU cooler (Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro). System is AMD Phenom 965BE, GIgabyte GA 770 UD3 Mobo, 570GTX. Cpu temps are around 58 Celsium idle- 78 poins under load. Too high..

I was considering Coolermaster 212 Evo but doubt it will fit. So, any smaller but efficient suggestion? It has to be a good improovement over existing cooler and support Intell 1155 chipset, since i'll be replacing my old AMD CPU soon...
Many thanks!

Case is Thermaltake Element V. It states very clearly that CPU cooler shouldn't exceed in height 155cm. CM 212Evo is 159...
I'm glad that you do not worry too much about CPU temps reaching 76-78 points under load. I thought itsurpasses AMD recommendations.
Do you think i should just re-sit existing cooler (Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro) and apply some MX-4 thermal paste? I haven't re-apply paste for ages...Should i every, say, year?
Many thanks!

Definitely give your case a dusting and re-apply the paste. This should hopefully reduce bot hide and load temps, let us know how you get on.
