Meet Rococo - our new pet

I had a very unfortunate experience with one of these. I left two crickets in with the gecko and they managed to eat a hole into it. I was devestated, lovely pets.
 
I'm quite interested in getting one of these, couple of noobie questions (sorry if already mentioned) :

How big do these things get?
Do they hurt if they bite?

I'm just remembering my mates monitor lizard and it got huge/aggressive and wouldn't let go when it bit, are these similar or more chilled out?
