he's funny in the youtube clips of 9 out of 10 Cats does Countdown but that's about it. in general apart from well edited clips he's about as funny as a punch in the sack.

I'm not a huge Jon Richardson fan, but maybe that's why I enjoy this show... nobody else on it likes him much either. They play to his 'strengths' in the scripts... and his strength is that a lot of us find him annoying. I think HE finds himself annoying.

I felt the same way just from seeing the trailer for the third time. Never even got as far as the first episode.

Personally I had no idea who Jon Richardson was until the first series of Meet the Richardsons and I thought it was brilliant.
Lucy Beaumont is HOT.

Just remembered why I watched it, they were guests on Jonathan Ross.

I don't really find him or his wife funny, so have never watched the show.

Very occasionally he'll do something funny on 8 out of 10 cats, but not very consistent.

But yes, Lucy Beaumont is out of his league, which he knows, and the show knows, and she knows. Yet she still married him, which makes you think he must be more endearing in reality than on TV. Either way, I think the TV interaction between them is something they've cultivated and developed very well. Makes me laugh anyway. But then I still laugh at Dad's Army, what would I know?
