I lost Zappa in April my 16 year old collie...Hit me hard...My life felt empty...

I posted a thread here about my loss and got wonderful support...So It felt right updating here on moving forward and all the great advice people gave me.

In July we got a new addition to the family.

Meet Tripper the black lab. :)

Awesome! Looks like a bundle of fun, glad to see you training him.. Most give up within days as it can be an uphill battle occasionally!

Our Collie will be 12 this year. Our vet says she has the body of a 7 year old which is good news and she has never needed vet attention all her life but it always something in the back of your mind. I will dread that day.

Getting a replacement is one thing but replacing a collie must be mission impossible but I think you chose well :).

I went to see a collie litter from a local farm….I started crying…Glad I did go though as I realised I needed a different breed as Zappa was a one off…Didn’t want to compare or be constantly reminded…New breed, new challenge and fond memories of Zappa.
