mega trapped air

So I replaced my ek reservoir with one that fits, the water flows and pc turns on except there is a 17inch gap of trapped air and barely any liquid.
Been tossing and turning the pc nothing.
Is there a definitive solution?

Make sure the res lid is in very tight and put the machine on its side / back and cycle the pump a few times

Put more liquid in, and cycle the pump until the res is full?

I've tipped my case fully on each side and even upside down to remove trapped air.
Got there eventually. As long as everything is secure you should be fine to do this (just don't drop it)

When bleeding always have your pump at maximum speed helps to get the trapped are round the loop to res.

Yeah lots of tipping/tilting from corner to corner, and flicking the pump on and off. I dont use a res, i just get all the air into one part of the loop where theres a joint, then once its all there i fill the pipes right up and close the loop. Takes a couple of towels and a lot of patience

Thanks for the replies, yes filled reservoir to 90% tossing turning, used a res that fits and I noticed a phenomenal difference.
The only issue I face now is some games are freezing on me.
