Still a pretty decent cooler. Probably the best single tower cooler you can get. It is expensive though. Even more so if you have to purchase a pair of fans for it. You can get a dual tower cooler with quality fans supplied cheaper, (ie k2) or for not much more. I had a super megahelims, (silver and copper model) prior to the k2. On an i7 920 @4.2ghz, the k2 was better by 10c and less noise as i was using akasa vipers on the mega.
 
I did loads of research but didn't fancy the K2 or any of the other biggies, i looked at the Xigmatek Dark Knight which is a better version of my Aegir, which is a damned good cooler, so i went for this.

it should run 8 degrees cooler once it's lapped, plus the CPU as well...i chose Corsair quiet LED fans...
