Having a real nightmare trying to uninstall my NOD32.

Ran the uninstaller, that restarted and then I had system errors with ekrn.exe so then looked on google for solutions. Followed several different methods of cleaning/uninstalling.

Now I have these errors in the applications log...

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7026
Date: 11/07/2009
Time: 10:08:27 p.m.
User: N/A
Computer: ACER
Description:
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
ehdrv

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The only way to stop the ekrn error has been to disable the service in services.msc now.

Deleted all the folders, files etc in safe mode.

Still can't get rid of it all completely. :(

Considering how good the software has been with AV I am so dissapointed at the uninstall procedure.

I also have this event happening but this is a different issue I presume

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1090
Date: 11/07/2009
Time: 10:07:36 p.m.
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: ACER
Description:
Windows couldn't log the RSoP (Resultant Set of Policies) session status. An attempt to connect to WMI failed. No more RSoP logging will be done for this application of policy.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

quick google led to this solution:

"I had this problem when I uninstalled NOD32 on my old PC few months ago. What I did was disable the NOD32 driver from loading at startup.

1. Just go to Device Manager, under Views and choose Show Hidden Devices.
2. Expand Non Plug and Play drivers and double click nod32drv, disable it from running
3. Go to Driver tab and change startup type to "disabled".
4. Do the same for AMON.

Hopefully it should solve your problem as well."

hope that helps

I didn't do any of that, I was playing around in services snap in for a while, sorted it out by doing a cmd prompt and sc delete *service name*

Everything was completely deleted from registry and folders but it was showing in services. So the above steps I took got rid of it completely.

Thanks for the info though. Useful to know about the hidden devices - I never knew that haha and I am MCP lol
