Hi, i have a gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R + q6600 + 2GB GEIL pc6400 cas5 value.

Run it at 3GHZ on stock volts for 2+ hrs on Orthos cpu test, ok.
Tried the blend test and it locked up in a few seconds.

Run cpu at stock and ram at 1-1 (ddr 532), all volts and timings stock, lockup.
Tried running 1 stick at a time, lockup.
Run memtest from floppy using test 5 then 8 then 3 hrs full test, no errors.

The rig hasn't locked up doing anything else, can run 3d mark 05 ok, not tried any games yet.

I've tried adding +1 , +2 to the mem and loosening the timings but it's still the same.
I'm using the F2 bios and have the mem in the yellow slots.
Could it just be my Orthos settings?

Please help as i really want to start clocking this thing.

Running the blend test now, 4 cores 100% and using 1940mb of ram.

Orthos would have froze straight away!

Is there a problem with Orthos and vista? I've looked through the other threads and haven't seen any with my ram problems.

Nearly 15 mins now, no probs, i can start having some fun now. :D

Thanks very much.

I believe it's just a bug some people experience on certain hardware configurations... read about people having the same issue as you anyway. Guess it's something they fixed in the beta.
