mem prob or mobo prob

just built my new system and i put 4 gb of memory in and only 3 gb are showing am i missing something or is one of my drr2 down or a ddr2 slot how can i find out any help on this would be great.

what operation system do u use?

Windows xp 32bit doesnt support 4gb, as far as i know, it will only show 3.2gb or something

u need win xp 64 bit or vista for the full support
