Hi, How many posts do you need to access the members market these days as I don't seem to have access any more but seem to think that I used to? Thanks

Change to MM access after 1st January 2024

As you will be aware, access to the Overclockers Members Market is controlled by two factors, post count (1000) and membership length (six months). Our rules also state the following: Once you have access, we expect you to continue participating in the other forums outside of MM. If it is...

To retain access to the MM, you are required to make a minimum of 15 posts in other areas outside MM over a 90 day rolling period in order to retain access. Posts in all sub-forums except New Members and Testing will count towards this.

Keep at it, by my reckoning, at your current rate of posting, you'll qualify for the MM in only 108.2 years.

Yep 15 years a member and still not anywhere near it..so it tracks.

Ah so this is why I can't see the marketplace. I thought it got removed. Seems odd to have such a rule in place for members who have joined dates dating back for over 10 years.

Yeah haven't been on in a like 6 months and am looking for a cheap 2nd hand GPU. Thought I'd come here to look at the marketplace and then noticed is wasn't anywhere to be seen

I don't think it'd take much posting to get access back TBH.

The long and short of it is so that it keeps the forums alive.

Then the rule seems to be working as intended.

It stops those who aren't active in the community from benefiting from it.

Well when you put it that way. Or just causes members to spam messages to hit their quota to get access again. Swings and roundabouts

Well if you are just going to spam, you'll find your posts removed and be blocked from regaining MM Access.

It’s perfectly easy to keep 15 posts up without spamming.
