Hi people,
Close friend of mine runs a large Snooker centre.
He spends around £4-£500 per year on membership cards, all done by hand and then on paper seeing when people’s membership etc is coming up to renewal and then they send reminders out.
What I am thinking about is a computerised system where each member has a card with perhaps a chip or strip and some form perhaps of laptop and software so each member when they come in to the club passes the card over, the staff swipe it and it brings up all details of that member.
Now I would imagine these systems exist. But does anyone in here know much about them?
I said I would look into it for him as I know a bit about computers etc. But I don’t know anything about membership systems like this.
Just in the long term I would imagine it would save money. Plus as long as backups are done frequently then data should be perfectly safe.
Hopefully someone here can give some advice.
Thanks
