I've never got on with my Corsair RBG Silent mechanical keyboard. Gaming is fine, but as I age I seem to write more and more, for that I find it's dog ****.

I used to have a Logitech Deluxe Access Keyboard, but it bit the dust and I ended up with this. After a year I can take no more. Please help me find a good membrane old style alternative, cost isn't an issue, but I'd rather try 3 50 quid ones than 1 150 one. I don't want something skinny, needs to be a bit beefy and maybe a wrist wrest for typing on, thanks :)

Sadly can't find the exact model any more and the replacements look like they might be a bit naff but the best keyboard I found for typing (if you didn't want mechanical) and not terrible for gaming either was the standard Cherry ones like the RS 6000 M - not sure what the equivalent replacement model is if there is a direct replacement model these days and they only cost around £10.

You should really try a mechanical keyboard with Blue Cherry MX switches.

I've used Blue, Brown and Red switches.

Blue I found were really bad for gaming. But so good to type on.

Blues only have to be tapped lightly. So they are much easier on your fingers, as well as speeding your typing up some what.

Just something you might want to consider if you haven't tried MX Cherry Blues.

Here's some more info on switches if you want to look into it further.
