Just bought
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500 Gold Edition 4GB Dual Channel (OCZ2G10664GK) and have an additional 2gbs of 8500, would I be better at adding the second 2 chips so to have 6gbs with loose timings or just have the 4gb and oc to CL 5-5-5-15 instead of the CL 5-6-6-18

Thoughts ??

vista 64bit. q6600. GA-p35 runing at 3Ghz

i would stick to just the 4gigs mate, i doubt you would utilise 6gigs, you could always go for selling the 2x8500gigs you have and get another 2x2gig ocz ram you have just now ;)

you would see more performance gains from the oc with 4gb than you would with the 6gb, using all ram spaces does hinder your oc chances espescially if its inferior to the 4gb.

I would go for all 6 GB if it was me. Vista 64 will find a use for it. Run some benchmarks if you really want to know which is best. The only trouble you might run into would be if the rated VDIMM is different for the 2 sets of RAM
