Memory 8500/6400/5300

Is it worth paying the extra for the 8500 ddr2 over the 6400 at almost double the price ,or could I just buy the cheaper and overclock to get similar performance ?
Also which brand and is it worth going for 4gb at the moment for gaming ?
Also considering that I will most likely be resricted by 32bit xp (3.2gb) so better quality may be more inportant to me !

No PC8500 is not worth it unless you're running a 475mhz+ FSB. And even then, good clocking PC6400 (such as the Crucial Ballistix) will keep up.

If you can afford 4gb then go for it. XP doesn't really need it yet, but some of the newer games are beginning to take advantage of more than 2gb.
