Hi
I'm collecting the parts to build a Blu-Ray playing HTPC and thus far have:

E6600
Sapphire 2600XT
Corsair HX520W

The plan is to get either the Asus P5K-VM or Gigabyte GA-G33-DS2R motherboard and 2x1Gb of RAM. I'd be grateful for advice on what/how much memory to go for. I've been looking at the Crucial Ballistix PC6400 2x1Gb kit which is around £70 but have also seen others that are a lot cheaper.

I'm not planning on overclocking either the CPU or the memory.

Cheers

Sean

The Ballistix would be wasted in an un-overclocked HTPC.

I would go for some cheap PC5300 like the Geil.

If you want something a bit faster then the PC6400 OCZ is a bargain atm.
