I currently own a Pentium D 920 2.8GHz Dual Core, ABIT AW8-MAX uGuru Motherboard and 2x512MB of Corsair XMS2 PC5400C4 Memory.

I am currently doing an upgrade just purchased a HIS X1950 Pro 256MB, and a Freezer 9 Pro for my CPU for overclocking but what i need to know is can i add another 2x512MB of Corsair XMS2 PC5400C4 Memory that would make it 4x512mb for 2GB.

Would this be ok? and would it still function as dual channel? Also would it affect any overclocking.

Would be fine :)

Try and get the exact same kind of memory.
The full 4 banks usually has some effect on overclocking, but not much :)

Would there be any difference using 4x512mb instead of 2x1gb would it give the same performance?

OcUK still sell the memory im after.

Corsair 1GB DDR2 XMS2-5400C4 TwinX (2x512MB) - £88.11p.

That saves me a lot of money in the long run as i thought that having 4x512 would disable dual channel. Corsair 1GB DDR2 XMS2-5400C4 TwinX (2x512MB) - £88.11p thought i'd be shelling out for 2x1GB.

Sorry for the lack of knowledge i have, not quite with all this but i'm learning.

Very pleased to learn that now saves me shelling money out on 2x1GB sticks.
