Noticed today my ram is running only single channel mode so i changed to slots 1&3 on my 990fxa-ud3 motherboard but when doing so my bios boot screen hangs around 5 times longer. Im using two corsair vengeance 4gb 1600mhz sticks. I changed it back to single channel and im now booting faster. Also in the bios i changed the advanced memory to manual and set it to profile 1 as my ram was running at 1333. Now is at 1600mhz, again my bios hangs and the computer is noiser on start up. So ive changed it back to auto. Im booting quicker again. It does not appear to have an effect on the operating system, just the bios post boot times. Any explanation for this? Thanks
