I am currently running the following system.

Asus P5N-T Delux (780i)
C2D E6600 overclocked to 3.4ghz (won't go any higher even though under load the cores only reach 50 degrees C).
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro cooler.
Tagan 700 watt (TG700-U25)
2 x 8800gt 512mb BFG OC2 (SLI)
Antec 900 case with extra side fan (sharkoon silent eagle 2000 120m)
Samsung Syncmaster 215W widescreen (1680 x 1050)
Windows XP Pro (SP2)

I am using GeIL 2gb (2x1gb) PC6400C4 800 Mhz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC). http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-058-GL

I am going to install vista and was wondering about the RAM.
Given that I can only get my current RAM to run at 900 Mhz (2.11v), and I am going to have to use 4gb to run vista, I was wondering if it made sense to purchase another 2 gb of exactly the sam ram and be limited to the 900mhz speed, or to sell my current RAM and purchase 4gb (2 x2gb) of new RAM (1066 or higher), so that I can run it at stock or overclock it to over 1333 or higher.
My questions to anyone with RAM experience, is:

1. Does it make sense?
2. Will I see any noticeable speed improvement over my current RAM speed?
3. Will I have any stability issues with any new faster RAM on this board (running latest 0802 BIOS)?
4. Will I have any compatibility issues with the motherboard or any particular make of RAM if I do go for faster modules?

Any contributions to this thread will be gratefully recieved. Thanks.

Dont forget that as youre running 2 gfx cards you will only see 3Gb of the 4Gb you put in, unless you have 64bit vista

I am confused by this statement! If I was running only one graphics card, I would see the same wouldn't I?

By the way, is there much difference in every day life between Vista 32 bit and Vista 64 bit, given that I run the normal office applications and have the usual scanner, printer, etc? I also need to configure my Sound Blaster XFi sound card, Teamspeak. Trackir 4, and my CH Products Fighterstick USB, Pro Throttle, USB Pedals, and last not least my Nostromo speedpad n52. Not forgetting the IL2 forgotten battles game...see here..http://www.warbirdsofprey.org/

Hummm...?
