Memory Bus Speeds

Hello,

Please bare with me as I am new to modding etc.

How do I check my maximum RAM memory bus speed to the motherboard please? What is the best way to do this?

in the bios it will list all the memory speeds 1600mhz-1866mhz-2000mhz-2133mhz-2400mhz ect,just pick the one closest to your ram speeds

to check in windows then use cpu-z and click the memory tab and see what the ddr frequency is,remember to double whatever it says as its double data rate

OK, So the BIOS lists the bus speeds available to the MOBO (ie the max and min capable by the bus on that MOBO) and not just generalised bus speeds.

yeah,dont set it to the maximum speed if your memory is only 1600mhz ect or else it wont boot
