memory card reader problem

ok... i bought an x-pro floppy drive bay memory card reader for my pc.. i installed it when i built my pc, and when i was turning it on, it was coming up with a little box which says 'windows-no disc' ' there is no disc in the drive'

because the cable for the card reader was a bit too short for my liking, i unplugged it, and without me realizing, the little box stopped...

now.. today, ive moved it to a place where the cable will reach.. it was coming up with the same box, so i unplugged it again to see if it was the reader.. and apparently, it is....

so.. what i want to know, is there any reason why it would be doing this??

i dont have a recent items folder, and it didnt come with any software....

well.. i deleted the recent files, and it still shows...

it doesnt appear to be affecting anything, just an annoyance....
