Memory causing BSOD - why?

I installed 2x8Gb sticks of Kingston Fury X 1866Mhz DDR3 into my PC. Previously I ran it with two unmatched sticks of Kingston memory, one running at 1333Mhz and the other rated at 1600Mhz but running at 1333Mhz. I had no problems. However, since installing the new sticks, I have loads of BSODs with error messages that were rarely the same. My motherboard doesn't support 1866Mhz sticks and was running them at 1600Mhz - would this be an issue? And if not, is the memory knackered?

As Danny75 said I was only running the new RAM.

Thanks for the help. I RMA'd the memory just in case it was actually faulty but will be getting some more. I think I'll just get 1600Mhz stuff given the issues I've had.

Thanks for the advice.
