Memory check report

Hi

firstly, Im discussing a system NOT built by overclockers, so it is in no way a complaint.

This particular system was built using the following memory:

16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance Pro, 2133MHz, CAS 11-11-11-27, 1.5V

The system reports the memory as being 16gb at 1600.

Not an expert but something isn't ringing right here. Does the system (8.1) have a limitation on how it reports memory or am I missing something obvious.

Is there a utility where I can test the components and get an accurate description as to what is in here?

Download CPU-Z and check the SPD tab this should show the speed as 1066mhz (you will need to double what being shown as the ram is double data rate).

If not then you will need to pop into the BIOS and manually setup the speed.
