Memory check

Another member is selling laptop memory to me. The info he has for the two is -

Samsung 1GB PC2-5300S-555

and

Hynix 1GB PC2-5300S-555

Will these both work ok on my MacBook?

They are the right spec for MacBooks so they should work fine. However I don't know if there are any issues using unmatched pairs on MacBooks so you may need to check. I have 2x 1GB sticks but they are a matched pair.

I can't see why they wouldn't work as unmatched pairs. Maybe someone else on here might know.

it will run fine on unmatched pairs, but for better performance matched sticks are recommend as the board supports dual channel memory, which the new iMac doesnt which is very dissapointing!
