Memory check

Hi all,

Just accumulating parts for a new gaming build around a 5900x and x570. Initially I was after some trident rgb 32gb 3600hz cl16 but I've found some 32gb 4000hz cl15 for around the same price.

So my question the 4000hz don't show as compatable on the g skill website but could I just run them at 3600/3800 with tighter timings? Or would I just have to buy them and see if they run?

Downclocking should be no problem, assuming all else is the same.

Thanks, I assumed as much. Got them for a good price used so will see how they run
