Memory colour slots?

Motherboard -Asus P5N-D nForce 750i SLi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2

I have 2 sticks of RAM do you have to put them both in the same colour slots? What happens if you dont?

Yep they have to go in 2 slots of the same colour so that they run in dual channel

What happens if they arnt tho, As I installed mine wrong.. And havent noticed anything wrong

It will still work, you just won't get dual channel.
