Memory compatability

hello all

i'm looking to upgrade my ram, but i'm comfused by the "pin" that is included in the details of some ram products.

I'm seeing 240pin and 184pin in ram product details, what does this mean? and how would i know if its compatable with my motherboard?

Look at your MOBO specifications, either online or in the manual.

DDR (DDR-1) memory is 184 pins.
DDR2 memory is 240 pins.

They are not compatible with each other so your MOBO will dictate what you can use.
