Memory Compatability

Depends which 780i MB you go for. Any ASUS one will take Micron memory no problems but you have to choose carefully on which High Performance Memory you wish to use.
Corsair,OCZ Geil and Kingston tend to use Highpoit memory which has a high performance at 2T. You cannot really overclock Micron memory very much but it is easy and cheap and above all reliable. The most relible choice would be Crucial. Because you get matching pairs and are quickly delivered and come from UK Distributors. If anything goes wrong with a Crucial memory chip It is done in the UK cheaply. Go to someone like OCZ and you have to return your memory to a place in the Netherlands and wait for replacements to arrive from the States. As with most of these companies you have to look beyond the purchase. It cost me £24 to return 2 memory sticks to OCZ that I paid £153 for a year ago, which would have cost me £27 to replace now a year on. The problem is you don't want them getting away from their obligations. Next time I shall most probably buy Crucial to avoid EU border costs. OCZ only gave me 15 days from the RMA date to return the goods otherwise another one would have to elevated. This restriction on time elevates the costs.
So you need to look at cost, what you want the memory to do and how far to send it back if it goes wrong. Why not try some Overclockers own Memory providing it is them you have to return it to if it goes wrong.
