1st of all.. hi to the forum.
ok.. i just upgraded because of h/w fail from an asus 270e to MSI 590 gaming plus mobo/ i11600k cpu and win 10.. onto win11.. i had kingston 3333 memory in it and it ran ok with no probs.. Anyway I had the chance to get some crucial max 4400 new and v cheaper than i had seen and I read that it would be ok with this setup. so i put it in... and I started to get a few whea errors saying H/w failure and the pc hung. i changed a few settings in the bios(not many but picked the 4400 in the overclocking bit rather than xmp profile which it hung on also... is it likely to be a voltage setting or is it alright to underclock it to 3200 (recommended by intel for this cpu? and maybe work my way up to a stable system. I ran windows memtest that passes and stressed test everything. it just seems so random. any help would be appreciated.
Cheers..
o btw.. i also tried memtest86.. it ran but just hung with 0 errors. now i have reverted back to original mem and it seems happy again.
