I have an old Epox 9nda3+ motherboard and have a quick question about memory configurations. I currently have 2*512mb Ballistix PC4000 memory and am considering going to 2Gb. Can I just add one stick of 1Gb memory and still run in dual channel without any problems or will this cause problems.

Many thanks

Most 939 mobos require you fill 2 or 4 channels (with equal amount/type) for Dual-Channel to work. What does manual say?

Would I be better off with another pair of 512mb?
What does mobo manual say?

With 4 sticks they'll run in dual-channel but might default to 333MHz & 2T timing instead of 400MHz & 1T a problem on early 939 mobos & will significantly impact bandwidth. Hence why I say check manual if you have (should be a PDF on mobo webpage).

Thanks. Will download manual.
