Memory Cooling

Anyone tried one of these?

And if so what difference did it make to your temps and/or how much further could you push the RAM? I know from experience mine get rather toasty, so was thinking of some spreaders and one of these on the top for good measure.

IMO it is a bit of gimmick, unless you are doing extreme overclocking with really good RAM.

there was an artical on bit-tech a while back saying heatspreaders dont do a lot and the performance gain was minimal. to me £20 is a lot just to cool memory.

Fair enough, something I can probably do without then! Might spend the mony on some temp monitors for the new hard drives I'm thinking of getting then.. unless then come built in, will have to check on that!

Maybe use the old fan and elastic bands trick to cool your memory?
